The Deming Police Department will be participating in the DEA National Drug Take Back Day on October 24, 2026, at the Deming Police Department, 700 E Pine St, Deming NM from 10:00am-2:00pm.

National Drug Take Back Day is an opportunity for community members to safely dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired medications. This initiative helps prevent medication misuse, accidental poisoning, and substance use while promoting a safer and healthier community.

In recognition of National Preparedness Month, the Luna County Health Council, Luna County Emergency Management, American Red Cross and Luna County Volunteer Fire Department will distribute emergency preparedness kits in Deming. Each kit includes a first-aid kit, blanket, flashlight, matches, and helpful preparedness information.

When: Thursday , September 24, 2026 from 5pm to 6pm (while supplies last)
