FOYA has a new place to call home! 💜

Since 2023, we've been building, growing, learning, and creating more opportunities for the youth of our community. This week, we reached a milestone we've been working toward for a long time.

The Foundation of Youth Arts officially signed our agreement with the City of Deming for our new space at the Scout Hut!

Alongside Luna Star Fine Arts, we're beginning an exciting new chapter as we transform the Scout Hut into an Art Campus. Each organization will bring its own unique programs, strengths, and identity to the space, while opening even more opportunities for our youth.

For FOYA, this means having a permanent place where our students can learn, create, explore, and grow.

The transformation has begun, and we can't wait to bring you along.

Keep watching as we build up our youth and help them grow beyond their circumstances. 💜

What if your ideas could change our community?

Join Foundation of Youth Arts Creative Lab on July 20 and 21.

Kids will brainstorm, design, and pitch creative projects that could make a real impact in Deming.

Whether it's public art, community improvements, or new creative ideas, this is where imagination meets action.

Open to youth who want to create, collaborate, and make a difference. Registration details coming soon.

📸💦 Seeing the world through a different lens.

Yesterday our young photographers traded the classroom for the splash pad and put their new waterproof cameras to work. From action shots and creative angles to candid moments with friends, students practiced composition, perspective, storytelling, and capturing movement while having fun in the summer sun.

The best part? Every student gets to keep their camera, giving them the opportunity to continue exploring photography long after camp ends.

At the Foundation of Youth Arts, we believe creativity grows when young people are given the tools, confidence, and freedom to create.

🎨📸 FOYA Summer Camp 2026 | Session 1 Week 1

What an incredible start to our summer season!
This week our young artists and photographers explored the world through creative eyes as they learned photography skills, experimented with watercolor techniques, and discovered the patterns that make our desert and community unique.

From cameras in hand to paintbrushes on paper, students practiced observation, creativity, and self expression while making new friends and building confidence along the way.

A huge thank you to our families, volunteers, instructors, and community supporters who help make these opportunities possible for rural youth.
We can't wait to see what our students create next week!
