Reposted from Jodic Buric on “Why I Invest in Netpositive Villages”
Most people think investing means putting money into companies that extract value from people and planet, then hoping for returns while the world gets worse.
I've found a different approach.
Every dollar I flow into Netpositive Villages is a direct vote for the future I want our kids to inherit. Not the dystopian mess we're heading toward, but actual communities where families can thrive without artificial scarcity and intentional obstacles.
Here's what I've learned: there are only two directions we can move - toward systems that work for people, or deeper into ones designed to extract from them. There are no neutral choices.
NPV isn't another intentional community experiment that'll crash in five years. We've studied why most fail and built something different. Private ownership, professional management, no mandatory meetings about where to put the compost bins. Like a high-end neighborhood, but filled with people actually building solutions instead of just complaining about problems.
The business model is solid. The rental income potential is real. But honestly, the financial returns are secondary to what we're really creating.
We're bringing together the sparks of hope - the builders, the problem-solvers, the people who refuse to accept that suffering is inevitable. Put them in the right environment with the right resources, and watch what happens.
It's so much easier to maintain a net positive mindset when you're surrounded by people creating abundance instead of scarcity. When your daily life contributes to healing instead of harm.
This is for the kids. This is how we build a world where thriving is normal instead of exceptional.
The meaning matters more than the money. But getting both?
That's how real change happens.
