We have one bonded pair still waiting on their furever home 💕

Teddy and Bangs may just be the most laid-back duo ever. These sweet boys only wheek when you have a bag in your hands and are otherwise incredibly quiet, gentle, and easygoing. Teddy is an absolute sweetheart who melts in your arms, while Bangs is the more upbeat piggy of the two. Bangs has long flowing hair and will need regular brushing and occasional trims to keep his beautiful coat looking its best.

Both boys are approximately 1 year old and would make wonderful companions for someone looking for calm piggies.

To help these boys find their forever home, we are running an adoption special for the month 💛

Thank you, piggy friends 💛

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your kind words, love, and patience as I’ve been healing from an injury over the past few months. Your support has meant the world to me.
A special thank you to those who donated hay and pellets — your kindness has kept our rescue going and helped so many piggies along the way. 🐹

After much thought and reflection, I’ve decided that once these last few piggies find their forever homes, I will be closing Sunshine Piggy Rescue of Florida. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one for me and my family as I focus on recovery and new chapters ahead. 🌻

We’ll be running one final adoption special this month to help these sweet pairs find their families:

🐹 Available Pairs:
✨ Blossom & Buttercup – Females, under 1 year old
✨ Omi & Pumpkin – Sweet females, ages 3–5
✨ Boo & Cheddar – Males, under 1 year old
✨ Teddy & Bangs – Males, under 1 year old

Introducing our Community Rehoming Corner!

We would love to take in every guinea pig, but that’s not always possible. 💛 The Community Rehoming Corner helps guinea pigs outside our care find safe, loving homes while supporting their owners.

How it works:
* Guinea pigs are not in our care
* Info comes directly from owners
* Owners set a rehoming fee
* Listings are posted on our website for 30 days
* One courtesy social media post included

Guidelines to post:
* Must submit via the contact form on our website under the Community Rehoming Corner: https://www.sunshinepiggyfl.com/community-rehoming-corner
* Donation to the rescue (owner chooses amount, min. $1) helps support our mission 💛
* Owners must sign an agreement confirming:
* Adoptions are indoor only
* New owners provide adequate space
* Guinea pigs are healthy to their knowledge
* Clear photo required
* Max 10 ads per 30 days; one listing per household every 90 days
* Owners notify us once adopted

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your patience this week while I had to travel out of state unexpectedly. It has been a busy week at the rescue, with a few emergencies as well as some happy adoptions.

Congrats to the following piggies who will be going home within the next week:
🐹 Cow & Jax
🐹 Elsa
🐹 Gracie & Kira

We also have more babies who were born in our foster homes. They’ll be posted and ready for adoption soon once they’re weaned and gendered. If you’ve placed your name on the baby waitlist, we’ll be contacting you over the next week as babies become ready.

Two sweet babies are still waiting for their forever homes: Butterball and Nessie (pictured).

We also have a few adult piggies waiting on homes.

It is with heavy hearts that we share we lost a baby piggy at just 5 days old, as well as our sweet piggy Yoya. Losing piggies is always the most heartbreaking part of rescue. 💔

For those who inquired about surrenders, we are currently not accepting any at this time. I will be taking the weekend to help piggies go to their adoptive homes and spend time with family, and I will also begin reviewing applications for both fosters and adoptions.
