Happy Adoption Day to Hashbrown, Pebbles, and Pascal!🩶😩

Today is one of those days that reminds us why we do what we do.

Three deserving dogs, each with their own story, their own journey, and their own second chance, have officially found their forever families.

Hashbrown, Pebbles, and Pascal came into rescue needing someone to believe in them. Through every vet visit, every foster home, every application, and every shared post, there were people rooting for them. Today, all of that love has led them exactly where they were meant to be.

While we’ll miss their sweet faces, there is nothing better than watching rescue dogs leave our care and begin the next chapter of their lives surrounded by love, comfort, and security.

To their adopters: thank you for opening your hearts and homes. We know these pups are going to be spoiled, cherished, and loved beyond measure.

And to everyone who helped along the way—our fosters, volunteers, supporters, and followers—thank you for being part of their journey.

Happy tails, Hashbrown, Pebbles, and Pascal. We can’t wait to see all the adventures that await you. 🩶

Flip Flop had his amputation surgery today, and he did phenomenal.

His procedure went smoothly, thank you to his DR and every technician at the clinic who looked and cared for this sweet boy!
he is now home, comfortable, resting, and recovering like the little champion he is.

If we’re being honest, we don’t think losing a leg is going to slow Flip Flop down much. He already has the confidence of a kitten who believes the rules don’t apply to him, and we’re fairly certain he’s planning to return to his regularly scheduled chaos as soon as medically possible.

This sweet boy has been through so much, but today marks the start of a new chapter.
He no longer has to carry around a painful, severely damaged leg and can now focus on healing, getting stronger, and enjoying life without that burden.

We cannot thank our supporters enough. To everyone who donated, shared his fundraiser, commented to boost his posts, sent kind words, and cheered him on from afar—thank you. Every dollar, share, and comment helped make this surgery possible.

Rescue takes a village, and Flip Flop’s village showed up for him in a big way.

Because of your generosity, this little kitten now has the chance to live a comfortable, happy, mischievous, and undoubtedly chaotic life.
We have a feeling that being a tripod won’t hold him back one bit. ( it never does )

Thank you for helping us give Flip Flop the future he deserves.

Now he has one less leg, but just as much attitude. And somehow, we suspect he’ll still be faster than the rest of us🩶

🚨 HUGE BREEDER SURRENDER INTAKE 🚨

About a week ago, Bre and I were contacted by Jessica, the creator of catch a backyard breeder on TikTok and Facebook.

If you’ve ever come across her videos, you know she spends countless hours speaking with breeders from all over the country about breeding practices and animal welfare.

Recently, she had a conversation with a breeder in North Carolina who openly admitted she needed help.

She had fallen on hard times, wanted to stop breeding completely, and most importantly, wanted her dogs to have a better future.

After several conversations, she made the decision to surrender the remainder of her dogs:

🐾 3 adults
-Wanda is a cream golden poodle 20 pounds
-pebbles black poodle female 20 pounds
-Marley red male miniature poodle - estimated 10 pounds potentially less

🐾 5 puppies ( estimated to be between 10-20 pounds full grown )
Mom is Wanda, Dad is Marley

And we’re happy to report that they are SAFE and officially here in Florida!

Now, if you’ve followed us for any amount of time, you know we’re technically closed for intake.
But when someone reaches out wanting to leave breeding behind and do right by their dogs, how do you say no?
Especially when they’ve asked for help in their own city and no one helped?

These dogs deserve a fresh start, and that’s exactly what we’re going to give them.

The good news? Despite everything they’ve been through, they have been incredibly sweet.

They are all currently available for foster-to-adopt homes while we complete their veterinary care and prepare them for official adoption.

The not-so-good news is that this intake comes with a hefty price tag.

Between veterinary exams, vaccinations, preventatives, spay/neuter surgeries, grooming, and any additional medical care they may need, we’re looking at well over $1,200 in expenses.

Just a little plot twist to add to our already busy week… 😅

Yesterday morning, I was dropping dogs off for their spay and neuter appointments when I spotted a tiny black thing tumbling around in the middle of the road on my drive home.

So naturally, I blocked two lanes of traffic to investigate, because there was no way I was driving past it if there was even a chance it was an animal.

And of course… it was. 🙃

Meet Flip Flop. 🖤

This poor little guy was found rolling around in the roadway with significant road rash and a very obvious injury to his front leg.
We got him to the vet yesterday for X-rays, and the results were heartbreaking.

X-rays show that his left front leg is completely broken in two places (see attached X-rays).
His pelvis is also slightly shifted, but thankfully that injury should heal on its own with strict cage rest.
His road rash should also heal with time and proper care.

Unfortunately, his front leg is another story.

After reviewing his injuries, the recommendation is amputation. While it’s never the news we hope for, animals adapt remarkably well to life on three legs, and we know Flip Flop has a bright future ahead of him.

And if his attitude is any indication, he’s going to do just fine. This little guy is spunky, determined, and full of personality. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s still fighting and still thinks the world is a pretty great place.

Now we need your help.

Flip Flop was a completely unexpected intake, and we need to raise the high end of his surgical estimate: $760 so we can move forward with his amputation as soon as possible.

Every dollar helps, whether it’s $5, $10, $20, or simply sharing this post with your friends and family.

Flip Flop deserves a chance to heal, grow up, and never have to worry about surviving in the middle of a road again.

Pascal had a BIG weekend adventure!!
📍 Deltona, Fl

I know SOMEONE is looking for a water dog!
Boat days? Beach days? Days on the lake?
HELLO! Adopt Pascal!!

This handsome boy got to spend the day at a local swimming spot and he had an absolute BLAST! 🐾

Pascal immediately marched himself right into the water and shoved his entire head under like he had been waiting his whole life for this moment.
Don’t mind his pink lifejacket… he said he didn’t mind because safety first!! 😅

He did a little swimming, a little splashing, and a whole lot of relaxing where he could still touch the bottom.
He even climbed right up into his foster mom’s lap while she sat in the water so he could hand out kisses and soak up all the love. 🥹❤️

While he was there, Pascal met tons of new people, made a new dog friend, got ALL the good scratchies, and heard over and over again what a good boy he was. And honestly? They were right. He truly is such a special dog.

Pascal is social, affectionate, adventurous, and just happy to be included in whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s swimming, exploring, hiking trails, lounging around, or cuddling up after a fun day out — he’s your guy!

Now all he needs is a forever family of his own to keep making memories with. 🤞🏼❤️
