Ahoy Luna friends! She’s home after two full weeks. Today we got an early start, set the course and jib, then sailed home with the wind on our backs arriving as the front moved in. This is what Luna was built to do! Some of the crew left yesterday and some headed home by land yacht this morning after helping cast off.
Thank you SailFest Cape Charles and Cape Charles Main Street for an incredible weekend. This was a job well done! Congratulations.
The crew is looking forward to returning.
Edit* we’re still finding gems of pictures from both trips. 😂we’ll do a follow up Wednesday after we get some rest.

Day 3 Sailfest Cape Charles.
Folks- Cape Charles knows how to have a great time. First rate bands. Friendly people. Yummy food. And boats- lots of boats!
We welcomed 469 aboard today. Not bad for six hours on a Sunday afternoon.
Luna’s crew knocked it out of the park today! We have an early morning so this will be a short update, but I’ll follow up tomorrow when we get back to Deltaville.

Sailfest Cape Charles 2026 day 1.
Luna’s intrepid transit crew arrived in Yorktown at 0730 to begin the days work. We were off the dock by 8 and soon under sail. Brief rain didn’t dampen the crews spirit as a constant southwest breeze blew us across the bay in just over four hours.
We docked and were greeted by our hosts whom provided ice and water in fine time. As well as a goody box with awesome origami boats for the crew. The crew settled in for a mid day break before finishing boat chores then heading off to dinner.
Tomorrow begins a new day and new adventure!
