A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out this past Saturday for our E-Waste recycling event! We were thrilled to partner with of Delta to help our community clear out those old electronics and keep hazardous materials out of our local landfills.

We had a fantastic meeting yesterday at Delta Rotary, and we are still buzzing from the inspiration!

We were honored to host Janet Rowland , who wears many hats in our community—including her newest role as a member of the Delta City Council! Congratulations, Janet! 👏

Beyond her civic leadership, Janet shared her heart and hard work with Project 127. This incredible organization focuses on recruiting and providing vital resources for families interested in the life-changing journey of foster care.

🌟 A Whirlwind Thursday at Delta Rotary! 🌟
​Talk about a packed meeting! Our meeting yesterday was a perfect example of how Rotary connects the world, both locally and across borders.

​Here are the highlights from our incredibly busy session:

​Global Impact from Afar: We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Dan Perlman from the . Joining us via Zoom all the way from Mexico, Dr. Dan shared an inspiring update on the Kenya Malaria Project. This massive initiative involves multiple Rotary clubs working together to save lives and combat malaria. It’s a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we pool our resources! 🌍🦟

​Regional Updates: We were honored to host Bishop, our Rotary Assistant Governor. Sarah provided a fantastic update on the progress and initiatives of the four clubs she oversees. It was great to see the big picture of Rotary’s impact in our region!

​Growing the Family: Perhaps the most exciting part of the day was officially inducting our newest member, Kelcey Derrick! Kelcey is the owner of our local Schwab, and we are so proud to have his energy and community spirit in the club. Welcome to the family, Kelcey! 🤝⚙️

​Nick gave us an inside look at the incredible strides Delta Health made over the past year. From enhancing patient care to stabilizing core services, the successes of 2025 have laid a strong foundation for our community’s healthcare future. 💪🏥

​The Delta Rotary Club had a packed house at our last meeting! We were honored to host representatives from the Delta & Montrose P.E.O. Chapters alongside members of the King N Trio for an inspiring presentation about their upcoming collaboration.

​🎓 The Mission: P.E.O. Sisterhood
​We learned about the incredible work P.E.O. does right here in our backyard. This organization is a powerhouse for women’s education, providing the "big three" for local students:

​Grants for those in need.
​Scholarships for academic excellence.
​Low-interest loans to make higher education a reality.

​🎶 The Benefit: King N Trio at the Egyptian
​To fund these life-changing opportunities, the King N Trio joined us to share details about their upcoming benefit concert. It’s rare to see such talent paired with such a vital cause!

A World of Perspective at Today’s Meeting! 🌍✨

​Today, the Delta Rotary Club had the absolute pleasure of hosting our sponsored exchange student, Eliska Cubova, as our guest speaker!

​Eliska shared a wonderful presentation about her home country, the Czech Republic, and gave us a glimpse into her journey living and studying here in the U.S. It’s been an honor to support Eliska during her exchange, and seeing the world through her eyes reminds us why Rotary’s youth programs are so vital for building international friendships.
