The Delta Food Pantry is deeply grateful to be the fortunate recipient of incredible support this month. The Delta Community Fund, a part of the Western Colorado Community Foundation, generously contributed $2,000โ€”and the Community Foundation matched it with an additional $2,000 of much-needed assistance.

Thanks to this outpouring of generosity, the Food Pantry provided food to over 700 people in the last 30 days. Families received essentials like meat, milk, eggs, and fresh produce, while students at Delta Technical College in need of assistance were given nonperishable food items.

The support from our community has been nothing short of incredible!

The Delta Food Pantry at St. Michael's Church thrives thanks to the generous contributions of local citizens, churches, schools, and service clubs.

As a nonprofit run entirely by volunteers and funded through community donations, we serve around 550 people each month. We also operate a satellite site at Delta Technical College.

Volunteers are the backbone of our operations, and we're especially in need of substitute volunteers and individuals with pickup trucks to help transport food donations from local stores.

Your help in feeding our neighbors is deeply appreciated!

The Delta Colorado Food Pantry urgently needs volunteers for our substitute pool, stepping in when our regular team members are unavailable.

Volunteers will assist clients during service hours, as well as accept and sort donations as they arrive.

We're also seeking volunteers with pickup trucks to collect large food donations from area grocery stores. Each shift is approximately an hour and a half.

Our Board of Directors is committed to expanding our services to reach even more people, particularly those affected by recent reductions in SNAP benefits.

HELP STAMP OUT HUNGER IN DELTA COUNTY COLORADO

Get ready, folks! We're just two weeks away from the highly anticipated Food Drive!

Join us in supporting our local food bank and making a real impact in our community.

Participating couldn't be easier: simply leave a food donation at your mailbox on Saturday, May 11th, and your friendly letter carrier will take care of the rest!

This year, your generosity is especially crucial as the Delta Food Pantry faces increased demand, serving 50% more of our neighbors in need. Your donations will directly help fill their shelves and support families throughout Delta County.

For those who prefer dropping off donations in person, our doors are open:

Monday through Friday
10:30 to 11:30 am
4th Tuesday evening each month.
5:30 to 7:30 pm
628 Meeker St, Delta, CO 81416
(look for us in the alley behind the church).

Every contribution counts, big or small, and remember, all donations are tax-deductible.
