This year marks the second year of Bound For College programming at Forest Hill High School, providing students with the guidance, academic support, and opportunities they need to prepare for life after high school.

We are so grateful to the Community Foundation for their generous support of our Literacy/STEM Accelerator at Village Academy! Because of their investment, students are gaining valuable opportunities to strengthen their literacy skills, explore STEM concepts, build problem-solving skills, and learn through hands-on activities.

Thank you, Men Giving Back, for recognizing Bound For College as one of the 12 finalists for the 2026 Golden Grants! We are incredibly grateful for your support of our mission, and we are so proud of the students we serve. 💙🎓

Meet Bound For College, one of the 12 finalists for Men Giving Back of SPBC’s 2026 Golden Grants.

The mission of Bound For College is to provide comprehensive college-readiness resources that empower motivated, low-income students toward promising futures. The organization offers its College Readiness Program free of charge to students and their families.

Through its ACT and SAT preparation program, students receive instruction in math, science, reading and English from certified schoolteachers who have completed exam-specific training. Students also have access to academic boot camps, mock exams and official exam waivers.

Bound For College also offers college tours and workshops that help students learn about campus life, write college-application essays, explore financial-aid opportunities and navigate the college-application process. Seniors receive customized guidance with college and financial-aid applications, as well as support writing competitive, personalized essays.

🎉 Celebrating 10 incredible years of Bound For College at Atlantic High School! 🎉

Our students and tutors marked this milestone with an afternoon full of laughter, memories, and school spirit. Students competed in Rock, Paper, Scissors to earn beads, took on “Pin the Tail on the Eagle” 🦅, and participated in a meaningful writing activity imagining where they’ll be 10 years from now. The celebration also included cake, ice cream, and plenty of photos to commemorate this momentous achievement.

We are forever grateful to the outstanding tutors, coordinators, and school leadership who have helped grow our program tenfold over the last decade. Your dedication, passion, and belief in our students have made all the difference.

Here’s to 10 years of empowering students — and many more to come! 🎓
