Cityhouse We provide housing and services to single mothers and children facing homelessness in Florida.

The vision for CityHouse began with a few families who were providing temporary shelter for children through a program called Safe Families. This program helps divert children from being placed in the child welfare system while the mothers seek to reestablish themselves so that once again they may care for their own children. Effective care was provided to the children apart from their mothers, wh

ile a desire to do more for their mothers was ignited. Over time, it became clear that if more emphasis could be placed on the family unit rather than just the children, these single mothers in need would have better opportunities to develop healthy lifestyles enabling them to provide sustainable, loving and proper care to their children. We established CityHouse in 2014 to provide long term, transformational assistance to mothers and their children.

In 2017, Christy graduated from the CityHouse program.

This month, she came back as our new Volunteer Coordinator.

Christy knows what it feels like to walk into this place needing somewhere steady to land. Now she's the one connecting volunteers to the moms and kids who are doing that same hard work today.

If you have ever thought about volunteering with us, she is your person. A few hours, a group, a skill you want to share. She will find the right fit.

A new school year deserves a little celebration! 🎒✨

A heartfelt thank you to Beyond Blessed for hosting a special back-to-school party for the CityHouse children from our Peacock and Rio campuses in Fort Lauderdale.

With a bounce house, games, plenty of laughter, and lots of smiles, the day gave our children a chance to simply have fun, connect, and celebrate the start of a new school year surrounded by people who are cheering them on.

These moments matter. They remind our children that they have a community behind them, believing in their potential and encouraging them as they step into the year ahead.

Moms need a room too.

Every mother who comes to CityHouse has spent years holding everything together. Her kids, her stability, her next step forward. Somewhere in all of that holding, her own healing gets pushed to the back.

This room says otherwise.

It's a space built just for her. Individual sessions with licensed clinicians, group work alongside other moms walking a similar road, and support that treats her wellbeing as its own priority, not an afterthought to her children's. Healing here isn't separate from being a good mom. It's part of it.

She did the work to get her family this far. This room is where she gets to be seen too.

Peacock House now has therapy rooms for kids and for moms. Next up: a new therapy space at our Boca Raton campus. Stay tuned.

Meet the newest room at Peacock House.

Kids arrive at CityHouse carrying more than a backpack. Trauma, disrupted attachment, chronic stress, the unsteadiness of not knowing where home is. Left alone, those things follow a child into the classroom, into friendships, into the years ahead.

This room is where that starts to change. Licensed clinicians and trained interns work one on one with each child, building the skills that stress and instability took away. Individual sessions, group work, and parenting guidance for moms, all connected through coordinated case management.

Twelve children, ages 6 months to 12 years, are the first to call this room theirs.
