The City of Delray Beach Emergency Management is actively monitoring tropical conditions in coordination with our local, county, state, and federal partners.
During hurricane season, remember:
• Use trusted sources. Follow official information from the National Hurricane Center, National Weather Service, Palm Beach County, and the City of Delray Beach.
• Be cautious with social media forecasts. Computer models, AI-generated weather graphics, and unofficial forecasts circulating online may lack context and should not be treated as official predictions.
• Stay informed. Tropical forecasts can change as new information becomes available. Continue monitoring official updates rather than relying on a single model or social media post.
• Stay prepared. Hurricane preparedness is a season-long responsibility. Review your hurricane plan, know your evacuation zone, maintain your disaster supply kit, and make sure you have multiple ways to receive emergency information.
There is no need to wait for a storm to threaten South Florida to prepare.
The City of Delray Beach will continue monitoring conditions and will provide verified information to our community as conditions warrant.
Stay informed. Stay prepared.
