As the year comes to a close and new Council members will be taking office in January, we wish the outgoing Council members well. A special thank you to Andy Schissler for his many years of service to the community, especially as Delmont Council President. Andy always seemed to listen to us objectively and support our activities. All the best to you in whatever direction you pursue next, Andy.

A huge Thank You to Berkshire-Hathaway GT & S for the $2500.00 grant towards the watering trough project. Bob Cupp and Vicki Walters met with Don Houser and Karen Tarullo from BH GT& S and Eastern Transmission yesterday to receive the check. We're awaiting a final quote from Peace It Together welding and fabrication school in Pittsburgh for the copper liner. Now that the new trough is in place, we're ready for Phase II. More funds are needed to complete the project, though. Donations very welcome!! The trough belongs to the community - let's get it done! Please send to:

Assistance is needed for Delmont Daze on Saturday, August 2, 2025. This year's theme is "Celebrating Salem Crossroads". With that in mind, the Delmont Daze Committee plans to have old Delmont artifacts on display in the front room of the Central Hotel throughout the day. Volunteers are being asked to provide time, possible shifts, for the day to supervise the area and provide a level of security so said artifacts do not grow legs and walk out the door...
Perfect opportunity for Delmont old-timers to spend some time talking of the old days with guests. Won't you please consider an hour or two of your time to give us a hand?
