Troop 75 was part of Bethlehem’s National Night Out at Elm Avenue Park. We had our inflatable archery set-up for kids of all ages to try; plus anyone could make and take home a kazoo!

And as always, we had information about scouting ready. If you have any questions about Cub Scouts or Scouting America, please message us. Don’t worry if you are not in our area, we can point you in the right direction to get your scouting journey started.

Troop 1075 has returned from an adventurous trek paddling and portaging through 22 lakes and rivers in Algonquin Provincial Park. We had 12 scouts and 8 scouters make the journey through some of the most undeveloped and wild forest imaginable. We paddled down streams, through flat-as-glass lakes, paddled over beaver dams, pulled loaded floating canoes through streams, portaged up steep hills and over large distances, and used strategy to paddle across a large white-capped lake. Scouts cooked amazing food and helped each other the entire time. This was a very gritty and courageous group of scouts that have earned a shining achievement finishing this loop!

Troop 1075 is back from Massawepie Scout Camp. We did it “outpost style” with 10 older scouts and loved the camp! Scouts visited 9 different outposts via backpacking and canoe, saw beavers, a bald eagle, loons, moose tracks, a bear track, and heard all sorts of animals in the night. Scouts cooked delicious meals over an open fire, saw incredible sunsets and sunrises, and loved the songs inside the lunch-time dining hall. Everything we wanted to do was met with enthusiasm and help from the director and staff!!

Troop 1075 Scouts have been having an incredible week at Massawepie Scout Reservation. We are doing the traditional merit badge programs in the morning, then heading to outposts every afternoon until the following morning. We’ve canoed to a lean-to and backpacked to a site on another lake. There were 5 types of camping at the canoe site: tent, lean-to, wilderness shelter, hammock, and cowboy! We’ve eaten very well with scouts really stepping up their backcountry cooking. Lots of adventures in the woods!!

Scout have been having a wonderful week at Rotary Scout Reservation! We have been here with over 40 scouts and scouters, and there has been swimming, kayaking, slushie drinking, archery, pickleball, knife-buying, basket-making, and tie-dying just to name a few activities!! Scouts re-wrote the words to the song “12 Days of Christmas” to be “12 Days of Scoutmas” and had every scout on stage singing. The whole crowd joined in and scouts from all sorts of troops have been singing the lyrics in camp since. It’s been a great week!

Troop 1075’s Ingrid, Molly, and Maddie made Scouting America’s national page!

Troop 1075 was one of the first troops in the area to open its program to include girls in 2019, as soon as Scouting America (previosly know as Boy Scouts of America) opened its rich scouting program to girls. Since that time, the Troop has become fully integrated as a Family Troop, with a year-round program packed with adventures, outings, and service, all planned by the scouts in the Troop.

Ingrid, Molly, and Maddie are three of seven girls from Troop 1075 to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, where the first girl in troop 1075 (and the first in Albany County) did so in 2021.

Troop 1075 welcomes boys and girls, continues a program serving Delmar for over 95 years. Please message us for more information or visit DelmarTroop75.org.

On this , we congratulate Twin Rivers Council Maddie, Ingrid and Molly from Troop 1075 in Delmar, New York!

Joining in 2019, these three friends have adventured alongside each other – enjoying the outdoors, embracing challenges, learning new skills, serving others and growing in character through .

Now, it’s an honor to announce that Maddie, Ingrid and Molly have officially reached the rank of ! We asked the girls about Scouting – this is what they have to share:

Maddie: “To me, Scouting is where I’ve had some of the most meaningful experiences of my life. From learning new skills, taking on leadership roles and going on adventures like Sea Base, [Scouting] has brought me even closer to my friends and helped me grow in ways I never expected.”

Ingrid: “Being able to participate in Scouting from a young age gave me invaluable resources that helped me become who I am today. I was able to learn teamwork, leadership and outdoors skills that no other program would have been able to give me.”

Molly: “Over the years, Scouting has taught me valuable life skills while helping me build lasting friendships with some of my closest friends.”

If you’re a current – or the relative of a Scout – working toward Eagle, don’t stop. It’s worth it – just ask Maddie, Ingrid and Molly.
