Our Rotary Club is also sponsoring a short term exchange student Sadie Munro. She been paired with Henny from Germany. Sadie has been in Germany for a few weeks and will return for August with Henny. You see her being greeted by her host family.

Today we had four exchange students at our meeting. Cole Miller returned from Brazil and told us about the great exchange year experienced. His parents were present. We also had Sora Miyazaki our current exchange student here to say goodbye as he is returning to Japan. Maks our incoming from Poland for 2023-2024 was here along with Evelyn our outgoing to Sweden for that year.

It was a good meeting and the Rotary Club of Delmar is happy to continue to support International Youth Exchange.

Our exchange student Sora told us about his exchange year in the USA. Our club has been happy to host him and we thank all the host families who made him feel welcome.

We had a nice meeting with Marisa Multari one of our district 7190 representatives. She helped our members with some of the technology questions using the Rotary web pages.

On Wednesday, Soozey and Suzanne from the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Albany, Rensselaer, and Troy presented to our club and amazed us with all the great work being done with these local Boys and Girls Clubs.

We recently welcomed our exchange student Maks from Poland. He will be spending the year at Bethlehem Central High School.

The Rotary Club of Delmar hosted our annual golf tournament this past Monday, June 26, 2023 and it was the most successful one we have had to in the 20 year history of the event.

We couldn't do it without all of our sponsors and congratulations to the winning team of Brendan McCann, Dan Casey, Andy Pludrzinski, and Tim Vaughan (not pictured) who shot a 57.

This tournament funds Mission for Marcus, international student exchange, student scholarships, literacy, special education in Ghana, and other programs.
