I often mention being kind, checking in on one another, reaching out to our law enforcement families, etc. Some of it may seem trivial or simplistic, but to someone struggling, feeling alone, or isolated, those small actions can have a big impact.

Last night I received an email which was greatly appreciated, and it reminded me again how small gestures can mean the most. 💙🖤

And because there were no "major incidents", or high profile situations, you didn't hear anything mentioned about law enforcement officers. Of course, because they're just doing their job, right? Yet the secone one cop approaches someone starting a fight or some kind of trouble, or pulls a car over....out come the phones, the judgement, the instant criticism and videos.

We're a two faced society, aren't we? We want it both ways; to have immediate assistance when we scream for help in our worst moments..... and then condemn and acuse when we don't wish to take responsibility.

How about dropping the hateful behavior and being grateful there are STILL enough good men and women willing to step up and put on a badge.

If anyone in is
struggling please .
If you know someone out there in ‘buddy nation’ who may be struggling please as they may not be able to ask for help.

Today we honor the life and sacrifice of Deputy Brian K. Heller, Worcester County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Heller, beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, gave his life in the line of duty June 14th, 2000, while responding to an emergency call. We are thinking of this family today on the 21st anniversary date, and remembering them as we honor a hero's final actions. Continue to rest in peace, Sir.
