o2 Urban Farms is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization located on the West Side of Cincinnati that partners with the Ken Anderson Alliance to provide employment training for adults with disabilities and fresh, healthy lettuces grown through hydroponics. Our produce is also available from; Just Brew Coffee Co., Humbert's Meats (Rapid Run location), Madison's at Findlay Market, Victor's Wine Shop (White Oak Shopping Center), WestSide Brewing and the Ivory House Restaurant.

With the exciting developments in our LIVE program, we are announcing a pause on our social enterprises "Just Brew Coffee Shop'' and "o2 Urban Farms.” We will be focusing on better serving more adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities by expanding and increasing the quality of the programs that have been at our core since our founding LIVE, WORK, and ENGAGE. We look forward to continuing to serve more adults through our ENGAGE and WORK Programming, and seeing it through that our LIVE Community becomes a reality.

Welcome To o2 Urban Farms. Founded in 2018, O2 Urban Farms is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization located on the West Side of Cincinnati. Employing special needs adults in a safe, comfortable, fulfilling environment while delivering on the promise of amazing, locally sourced produce is the foundation of O2 Urban Farms and the vision of founders Tom Mendel & Mark Ruberg. As a 501(c)3 charity, we also work with other charities to create work opportunities for the populations they serve. Currently, we are partnered with the Ken Anderson Alliance to provide work opportunities to adults with disabilities.

What is Aquaponics?

Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (using water to grow plants). When these two methods are combined, a small man-made ecosystem is created which allows for optimum conditions for both fish and plants!
