July 1st our new website design will be launches so keep an eye out for that.
Information for the 2026 Ohio Gourd Show has not been released yet. But I thought I would give all you artist a heads up so you can start creating. Artistry in Gourd competition with monetary prizes will be returning. The theme for this year will be INSPIRED BY NATURE.
Reach down and tickle your creative Muse. Any media is accepted as long as you use a gourd in 25% of the art work. Figures? Yes! Fairy House? Yes! Bowls? Yes! Anything that makes the viewer see that it has been inspired by nature.
Look for more information about this and workshops soon. Start creating and YES! Can can enter more than one piece for this monetary competition.

Call out to all our NorthEastern Ohio Gourd members. President Vikki and VP Dot Weill be traveling up north east Ohio to help set up a gourd patch in your area. There will be a short meeting and then a fun workshop on June 27 12-3:30 at the Maple Branch Library. All materials for the workshop will be included

Attention all Cental Ohio Gourd Patch and anyone who would like to join us for a fun workshop. All materials will be provided.
Workshop will be HAT or MASK making. Cut gourds will be provided along with everything to create a unique piece of art. Come and enjoy

Short meeting and workkshop on June 23 6-8pm at the Worthington Park Library. Address is 1389 Worthington Centre Drive Columbus Ohio 43085. The library is in the same strip mall as Krogers so there is plenty of parking.

REMINDER: Spring Membership Meeting
Our Membership Meeting is Saturday, April 25, 2026, 10 am-12 pm. You’ll hear updates about our Society and have a little FUN!

If you can attend in person, we’ll meet at the Family Room Coffee and Bake Shop, 545 S. Otterbein Ave., Westerville (in the Walmart plaza). The Ohio Gourd Show Committee is actively searching for Workshop Leaders and Vendors for our 63rd annual Ohio Gourd Show, October 2, 3,4, 2026, at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, Delaware, OH. Workshop Leader applications are due April 11, 2026. We welcome workshops involving gourds/gourd images or techniques usable on gourds and/or gourd pieces. (Projects don't have to be with a gourd, but must be shown how it could to apply to a gourd),

Vendor applications are due May 16, 2026. We especially encourage non-gourd artists who are creatively-inspired to incorporate gourds into their craft to challenge and inspire us!
