Parents—looking for a safe, structured, and character-building school sport?

Trap shooting is one of the fastest-growing school sports in the U.S., with tens of thousands of students competing nationwide each year through the USA High School Clay Target League. Congratulations to DCSSC shooter, Will S. (North Union) for his first 50,75 and 100 straight at Wright Patt Fall Handicap ATA shoot today. In tradition, his hat was thrown up and was shot by the other participants.

We’re now taking new shooters for Trap, S***t, Doubles, and Sporting Clays for the upcoming Fall 2025 and 2026 season.

• All students from elementary through 12th grade are welcome!
• Special Fall League for Buckeye Valley and Delaware City students (6th–12th grade) kicks off in just a couple of weeks — don’t miss it!

Delaware County Shooting Sports had a really good day at Black Wing Shooting Center first Youth Invitational.

Our kids shot well, but we had 2 that made the Podium in the Sub-Junior category. Isaac G. (Buckeye Valley) took 1st Place and Levi B. (North Union) took 3rd Place.

Big things will be in these kids shooting futures!

Second round, we had another great round.

3 more 25 Straights and 1 50 straight!

Overall, our Varsity team finished in 2nd place right behind a really good squad from Cardinal Shooting Center. Missed first by 7 clays!

Our high shooter this week was Jason C.

It has been fun to watch the club grow and see the kids become proficient at their sport.
