The Reid Foundation is proud to celebrate Mark Rhodes, our Music Director, who was awarded “Volunteer of the Year” by the Warden at Pickaway Correctional Institution.

Mark coordinates and facilitates instruction for the Music program with the inmates — a program that is deeply transformative, inspiring growth, healing, and connection through the power of music, even while incarcerated.

The inmates truly treasure their time connecting to music, to themselves, and with Mark.

Out of hundreds of volunteers, Mark was chosen as #1.

🌱 A new path to healing is underway. 🌱

The Reid Foundation has launched a national Ibogaine Sponsorship Program to help individuals struggling with addiction across the United States access treatment they otherwise could not afford.

💊 What is Ibogaine?
Ibogaine is a powerful, plant-derived treatment used internationally to help interrupt withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and address underlying trauma when provided in a medically supervised setting.

✈️ What’s happening now?
A cohort of individuals has already been selected and is currently traveling to Beond in Cancún, Mexico, a leading medical center specializing in ibogaine treatment.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Why this matters:
Addiction doesn’t just affect one person. When someone heals, families heal, friendships heal, and communities begin to recover.

📖 Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing stories and interviews (with consent) from participants as they move through treatment and return home with real hope.

📣 What a night to remember! On September 21, 2025, we joined over 100 sound-healers and hundreds of community members for the world’s largest sound bath at Columbus Commons in Columbus, Ohio — a powerful gathering of music, healing, and connection in celebration of the International Day of Peace.

We were proud to be a sponsor along with the lead sponsor, our partner in healing Beōnd Ibogaine Clinic (founded by Tom & Talia) whose support helped make this extraordinary event possible. We’re honored to partner with people who believe deeply in the healing power of creative expression, community, and transformation.

This event embodies the core mission of the Reid Foundation — bringing “front-line therapy” through music and community to those touched by substance use, mental health challenges or life crisis.

🌟 To everyone who attended: thank you for bringing your open hearts, your mats, your blankets, and your willingness to surrender to sound. Together we created an ocean of harmony beneath the stars and planted seeds of peace in our city.

This summer, the REID Foundation partnered with the Ohio Arts Council and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction to bring concerts and workshops to Pickaway Correctional Institution. 🎶

Participants performed alongside professional musicians, while the PCI community experienced the joy and wellness benefits of live music. The series wrapped up with the incredible Tony Monaco Trio—more highlights coming soon!
