My name is Favour, and I work as a Virtual Assistant for Ahlaianne Garfinkel, a participant in the Entrepreneur of Impact 2026 competition.
I’m reaching out regarding a very unfortunate situation that affected Ahlaianne’s campaign during the competition. As part of the voting process, supporters could vote for free every 24 hours or make donations to purchase additional votes. Ahlaianne shared her official voting links across her social media platforms, stories, and with friends and supporters who genuinely wanted to support her campaign.
Unfortunately, it appears scammers were able to interfere with or manipulate the voting/payment links. Several people who intended to support Ahlaianne unknowingly had their payments redirected to fraudulent accounts instead of the official voting platform. We have attached screenshots and transaction records showing where many of these payments were sent.
What raised serious concern is that the transactions appeared under completely different and unrelated merchant locations and names, including places such as Philadelphia, UCLA, DTE, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and other unfamiliar locations. These charges clearly do not appear connected to the official voting process and strongly suggest fraudulent activity.
Some supporters were charged multiple times, while others noticed transactions processed through suspicious merchant descriptions such as “Donation Ahlaian Pittsburgh PA” and other unrelated entries. Based on the evidence we gathered, we strongly believe this was organized fraud targeting Ahlaianne’s voting campaign and supporters.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that some of the people affected were Ahlaianne’s close family members, including her elderly mother and relatives, who genuinely believed they were supporting her campaign. This has caused financial loss, emotional distress, and a great deal of pain for the family.
We truly believe this situation had a major impact on Ahlaianne’s campaign results. Despite receiving overwhelming genuine support, she finished 2nd in the quarterfinals when she realistically should have ranked 1st based on the level of engagement and support she received.
We respectfully ask if your team could please:
Investigate the fraudulent activity connected to the voting and donation links.
Review the suspicious transactions and affected votes.
