Certified Marathon & 5k - You can Conquer the Canal!

Let the beautiful C&D Canal guide your run along our certified course while taking in all the scenes nature has to display.

The Conquer the Canal Race Series kicks off on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, in Delaware City, Delaware. It will be professionally timed, and all finishers will receive a full-color medal to show that they Conquered the Canal!

There will be 13 Aid Stations to support our runners along with roving safety patrols to ensure maximum safety for all participants.

We'll give you three different ways to do it...
The Conquer the Canal Race Series comprises a
Certified Marathon, a Certified 5k, and a Family Fun Run 5k.

Each race will guide its runners alongside the beautifully scenic waterways of the C&D canal!

The Conquer the Canal races are great for both experienced and new runners!

Why?... The majority of the course is very level and on solid ground, making it a smooth run with beautiful views of the water and nature! These course conditions allow those with experience to stretch their legs and challenge their PR on a certified course while being amazing conditions for those running their first races or those ready to conquer a certified 5K or marathon!
