As many in our community may have heard, the VFW Post 2380 building was heavily damaged by a fire over the weekend.

The organization has vowed to rebuild their post and Chris Cloudman, Mayor of DeLand is calling on residents to rally around them in that effort.

We look forward to seeing VFW 2380 being restored and continuing to serve our city's veterans for many years to come!

Rebuilding our VFW-Post after a devastating Fire

During the night of March 22, a fire damaged Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2380 located at 510 S. Alabama Ave. in DeLand. No injuries were reported. According to the DeLand Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched around 10 p.m. on Friday night and witnessed “dark smoke pushing from the roof and eaves of the building.” As of publication, no cause of the fire has been reported.
