Clever Clovers 4-H Club

Last month was our January Clever Clovers meeting. Our meeting was a demonstration night. We’re were all so happy to hear so many of our club members present on a topic that interested them. Everyone who presented did a great job. Our next meeting is on Monday and we will be making Valentine’s day cards for the three pillars. If you have any craft supply’s or Valentine’s Day themed stickers we would greatly appreciate it if you could bring them. Please reach out if you have any questions! 💘💌❤️

Happy New year Clever Clovers! To kick off the New Year, we will be having a Demonstration Night on January 12th. This is a great opportunity to practice giving a presentation and public speaking. Members are welcome to prepare a 2-3 minute presentation to share. Presentations can be about a 4-H project, project work, or something you are interested in. The presentation can be given anyway you would like. If you plan on using a Google slides or PowerPoint please email them to Mr. Anderson by noon on January 12 or bring a USB drive with the presentation on it. We hope you have had a happy holiday and you are excited for the New Year!!

Last week was our December cookie auction meeting. We did a green elephant gift exchange and cookie auction. We were able to raise $423 half of that will go to our treasury and the other half will go to the Salvation Army. Thank you to everyone who participated in the auction or making cookies. Our next meeting will be demonstration night so please prepare a 2-4 minute presentation on something your enjoy or are interested in. Have a happy holidays🎄🎁!

We will have your December meeting next Monday on December 8th at Cushing Elementary starting at 6:30. Commitees are welcome to meet at 6:10. We will be doing a Green Elephant for our ice breaker and would like for people to bring a wrapped gift under 10 dollars. Our main activity will be a cookie auction and we would appreciate if everyone could bring 1-2 plates of cookies to be auction off. Please include the list of ingredents used and the name of the treat on each plate. This is always one of our favorite meetings so be ready to have some fun!🎄🎁

At our past Clever Clover’s meeting we made Thanksgiving boxes. Through the help of many people donating we were able to make 24 boxes. These boxes will go to people in need so they can also enjoy Thanksgiving. A big thank you to everyone who helped with donating and assembling these boxes. We hope you have a great Thanksgiving 🦃!

Our last 4h meeting was a project night and many people participated and gave demonstrations. Some of the projects people presented on were ice skating, crocheting, meet birds, milking cows, preforming in 4h, how to make a cappuccino, bow hunting, photography, dogs, gardening, and leaf cutter bees. Thank you to everyone who participated.

Thank you to all our Career Night speakers who presented their jobs during this month’s meeting. We hope everyone enjoyed the experienced and learned about potential career opportunities. We had an Army Sergeant First Class of Civil Services, Professional Fisherman, Machinist, and Photographer.

Happy Holiday fun with the Clever Clovers. This month we had a green elephant gift exchange and a cookie auction. We raised $266 to benefit the Wildlife in Need Center and everyone went home with tasty treats. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait to have even more fun in 2024!
