Hello DVLL Families,
We have some important updates regarding the upcoming fall season.
Due to delays in county construction, our fields will not be ready in time for fall ball. The contractor initially began work in areas that did not require it, which has extended the project timeline. As a result, irrigation lines must be repositioned, grass needs to be re-seeded, pitching mounds rebuilt, and the fields given adequate time to recover before they can safely be used.
Because of this, DVLL will not be hosting a fall season.
Players who wish to participate in fall ball are welcome to register with other leagues in our district, including SAO, Montopolis, and GEA. Please note that SAO and GEA will each have limited field availability (1 each), as SAO will share space with AISD football during the fall season.
DVLL fully plans to return for the Spring 2027 season, and all players will be welcomed back.
At this time, we also want to share that for Spring 2027, DVLL will not offer Junior Baseball (ages 13+) or softball(all divisions). This decision is based on the limited number of teams within our district, which has made scheduling games—particularly for softball—very challenging. Players who would like to continue playing are encouraged to consider co-ed baseball opportunities where available.
We appreciate your understanding and support. We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable summer and are able to find ways to keep your players active during the fall.
