Last Thursday, Del Valle Community Coalition (DVCC) was proud to celebrate the awards of $12,000 in scholarships to six outstanding students from the Del Valle Independent School District—honoring not only our newest high school graduates but also those already forging their paths in higher education.
These funds are designed to do more than ease the transition into college for incoming freshmen; they also provide continued support for returning students who are persisting through the challenges of college life. At the heart of DVCC’s mission is a steadfast belief in nurturing our community members beyond graduation—walking alongside them from the classroom to the campus and beyond.
This year’s recipients exemplify the spirit of our community. Through volunteer service, leadership within their schools, and a deep commitment to lifting others, they have proven themselves as changemakers and role models both in Del Valle and in the broader world they are beginning to shape.
