BCFS Health and Human Services-Del Rio BCFS Health and Human Services-Del Rio operates programs that provide counseling, crisis intervention, and domestic violence prevention & treatment.

BCFS Health and Human Services established in 1944 is a non-profit organization with locations and nationally doing noble work across Texas and the United States, specializing in community-based care for at risk families and children (abused and/or neglected & domestic violence), prevention & early intervention services, housing for young adults aging out of the foster care system, mental health & life skill services, advocacy and case management coordination for survivors of human trafficking, medical programs for women who are pregnant or post-partum, and serving families who have a child with a disability or special needs by providing them with an opportunity to visit the world’s first theme park designed with individuals with special needs in mind.

BCFS Health and Human Services - Del Rio invites our entire community to the 16th Annual Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil. Together, we honor victims, support survivors, and stand united against domestic violence.
Date: Monday, October 26, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM – 7:45 PM
📍 Location: Del Rio Civic Center – Pecan Ballroom (1915 Veterans Blvd, Del Rio, TX)
Attire: We encourage all attendees to wear purple as a symbol of solidarity and hope.
Community Resource Fair: Learn about valuable local services and support available during the event.

Angeles Aldaco and Claudia Lopez, dedicated Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence advocates, proudly represented their community at this week’s 3-day Texas Association Against Sexual Assault conference.
Surrounded by leaders, changemakers, and fellow advocates from across the state, they engaged in powerful conversations, strengthened their knowledge, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting survivors.
A special moment of the conference was when Claudia had the opportunity to reconnect with Rose Luna, CEO of TAASA—an inspiring reminder of the strong relationships and shared mission that continue to drive this critical work forward.
Together, they continue to be a voice for the voiceless, standing in unwavering support of survivors and advancing the movement for awareness, prevention, and healing.
