The Del City Fire Department would like to sincerely thank the citizens of Del City who got out and voted today on the GO Bond.

Today is a big day for public safety and for the future of our community. Your support is an investment in the men and women who serve Del City every day and in our ability to continue providing the level of service our citizens deserve.

Thank you for taking care of us and supporting your first responders. We don’t take that support for granted.

You took care of us today, and we promise we will continue to take care of you when you need us most.

Anybody missing this little guy? 🐑
The sheep, not the firefighter. The firefighter is accounted for and, as far as we know, has a home. 😂
This woolly wanderer was found roaming around SE 29th Street and is now safe and sound at Fire Station 1.
If you recognize him—or if you just realized your yard is suspiciously short one sheep—please call non-emergency dispatch at 405-677-2443 to arrange pickup.
Proof of ownership may require knowing his baaaaackground. 🐑🚒

The Del City Fire Department would like to congratulate Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Darren Appleby on his recent promotion!

Chief Appleby has proudly served the Del City Fire Department for over 22 years and brings 26 years of fire service experience to this leadership role. Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated member of the Del City Fire Department family. Chief Appleby is a natural leader and has always shown a commitment to serving both our department and our community.

We are excited to see what the future holds under Chief Appleby’s leadership as we continue moving our department forward and pursuing our mission of being the best and providing the highest level of service to the citizens of Del City.

Congratulations to Sergeant Brady Skillings on his well-earned promotion! 🥳

Sergeant Brady Skillings has proudly served the Del City fire Department for the past 8 years, consistently demonstrating professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to serving the citizens of Del City. We are excited to see Sergeant Skillings step into his new role as a Company Officer, where he will help lead our firefighters and continue moving the Del City Fire Department forward.

Leadership is about setting the example, building strong teams, and investing in those around you. We have no doubt Sergeant Skillings will do just that as we continue pursuing our mission of providing exceptional service to our community.

🚒💛 DEL CITY FIREFIGHTERS “FILL THE BOOT” FOR MDA THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! 💛🚒

This weekend, the Del City Fire Department and Del City Firefighters Local 2171 will be out at SE 29th Street & S Sooner Road collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the annual Fill the Boot Campaign.

📅 Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25
📍 SE 29th Street & S Sooner Road

Since 1954, firefighters across the country have helped raise funds for families affected by muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases — and Del City Firefighters are proud to continue that tradition right here in our community.
