🚨 POST–WINTER STORM SAFETY ALERT 🚨

As temperatures rise and the ice begins to melt, new hazards can pop up quickly. Please take a few extra precautions to keep yourself and your family safe:

⚠️ Watch for black ice
Melting ice can refreeze overnight, especially on bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas.

πŸš— Drive with caution
Slow down, increase following distance, and avoid sudden braking or sharp turns.

🚢 Be careful on foot
Sidewalks, steps, and driveways may still be slick. Wear shoes with good traction and use handrails when available.

🏠 Check your home
Look for falling icicles, roof runoff, and standing water that could refreeze. Keep walkways clear and well-lit.

πŸ”₯ Use space heaters safely
Keep them at least 3 feet from anything flammable and never leave them unattended.

❄️ Even as the ice melts, conditions can change fast. Stay alert, stay safe, and look out for one another.

πŸ₯Άβ„️ COLD WEATHER SAFETY REMINDER ❄️πŸ₯Ά

Cold temperatures can be dangerous. A little preparation goes a long way in keeping you, your family, and our community safe.

πŸ”₯ Use heaters safely (keep 3️⃣ feet of space)
🚫 Never use ovens, grills, or generators indoors
🚰 Protect pipes & let faucets drip in extreme cold
🐢 Bring pets inside & check on elderly neighbors
🧀 Dress in layers & limit time outdoors

πŸš’ Help keep emergency lines open β€” call 911 only for true emergencies.

Stay warm. Stay safe.

🚫πŸ”₯ TODAY IS A NO BURN DAY IN DEL CITY πŸ”₯🚫

Today has been designated as a No Burn Day in Del City, OK. That means outdoor burning is not allowed, including brush piles, trash, or yard debris.

Why does this matter?

🌬️ Weather conditions such as wind, low humidity, or poor air quality can cause fires to spread quickly and uncontrollably

πŸš’ Increased fire risk threatens homes, property, and lives

🫁 Smoke impacts air quality, especially for children, seniors, and those with respiratory conditions

πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ Preventable fires take emergency resources away from true emergencies

Even a small fire can escape rapidly under the wrong conditions.

βœ… Please wait for an approved burn day
βœ… Use alternative disposal methods for yard waste
βœ… Help us keep our community safe

Employee of the Year Award Goes To… Israel Camargo! πŸ†

Israel exemplifies what it means to serve Del City with relentless spirit, adaptability, and unmatched dedication. Day or night, weekday or weekend, Israel shows up with heart and a smile.

He’s not just a hard worker; he’s a team player who takes pride in strengthening our community through every task, every hour, and every challenge.

Although he was unable to attend the Del City Chamber of Commerce’s Hall of Fame Banquet (because, true to form, he was hard at work keeping things running smoothly), we’re proud to recognize his incredible commitment to our city.

Pictured left to right:
