Sometimes I think we get so busy with dinners, fundraisers, Queenie, Friday nights and everything else happening at the Lodge that we forget why we do it all.

Being an Elk is about Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity.

It’s helping when someone needs a hand.
It’s showing up.
It’s taking care of our community.
It’s looking out for each other.
And sometimes it’s just sitting around the bar, laughing way too loud with people who started as fellow members and became friends.

We may not always get it perfect. We’re human. We’re busy. We have opinions. 😉 But at the end of the day, we’re here to make a difference.

That’s what I love about the Elks.

So today, give a little thought to what Being an Elk means to you.

🚨 ATTENTION BINGO WARRIORS: Thursday Night is Game Time! 🚨

Calling all DeKalb Elks Lodge #0765 members, guests, and the entire DeKalb public! If you think Bingo is a quiet, polite little hobby, you clearly haven't sat next to someone guarding six cards with a lucky troll doll.

Bring your lucky daubers, your unwashed "winning" shirt, and your best game face. We don't care if you have a complex mathematical strategy or if you just guess—we want you here.

Here is the Thursday battle plan:

5:00 PM | The Gates Open: Get in early to claim your favorite table. Guard it with your life.
🍔 The Fuel Station: Our short-order kitchen menu is hot and ready. Do not play on an empty stomach. Brain power is required.🔮 7:00 PM | The Chaos Begins: The balls start rolling, the room goes silent, and the staring contests begin.
💰 THE BIG PRIZE: We are talking a cool $500 CASH JACKPOT. That is enough to buy a whole lot of groceries, fill your gas tank, or buy a ridiculous amount of backup sarsaparilla.

🍝 The Feast: A steaming plate of Chicken and Spaghetti. 🥤 The Bonus: Sip a cold sarsaparilla while our crew gets your dinner ready!

September 12 at 6 PM — the Illinois State Red Birds are coming to DeKalb to take on our NIU Huskies!

And while we may be on opposite sides of the scoreboard, we’re all Elks! 🍻

The DeKalb Elks Lodge #0765 would like to give our Red Bird Elk members a big DeKalb welcome. If you’re coming up for the game, stop by the Lodge for a drink, some laughs, and a little friendly football banter. 😜
