Troop 33 - DeKalb, IL Troop 33 Scouts BSA, Potawatomi District, Three Fires Council BSA Youth-run program for boys grades 6-12. Fundraising allows boys to earn their way. Leadership.

Focus on outdoor activities offer challenge, adventure, leadership, discovery. Service opportunities range from local community service to national disaster relief projects. Active advancement program. Excellent summer camp. High adventure dreams come true. Every season: "Always an Adventure!"

Tuesday June 8th was the opening concert for the 172nd continuous season of the DeKalb Municipal Band. Troop 33 was honored to present American Flags during the concert program.

Congratulations Scouts

Congratulations to Malakai and Tristan for completing their Order of the Arrow Membership May 29-31. Congratulations to Chase who left for Canyon Camp on June 6 to begin his 3rd summer serving on camp staff. Congratulations to Joe for completing his Board of Review for Life rank on June 8.

Northern Illinois Art Show - June 6-7, 2026

Troop 33 operated a food booth at the Northern Illinois Art Show on Saturday and Sunday. It was held on the grounds of the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore. It was a beautiful showing of creative artwork. The weather brought a hot and muggy Saturday, with Sunday being cooler. Everyone enjoyed the weekend.

Hall Quarry Beach - June 3, 2026

Fun in the sun and sand is available nearby DeKalb. Troop 33 Scouts enjoyed a great afternoon at Hall Quarry Beach in Batavia. These photos provide some views of the fun elements provided by Batavia Park District. Troop 33 has a few trips planned here for the summer.
