Everyone has been so kind during this unexpected crisis. Many of you want to know what else is needed and how they can help. We are going to post a Target registry tomorrow with items like clothing, socks, underwear, and school supplies. We will include sizes and gender. We will ask only for what is needed.

In the meantime, with the addition of 13 children and the 14 we already have, there are 27 children at the shelter now. We give the children 2 snacks a day. Therefore, I do know healthy kid snacks and juice boxes would really help.

Thank you everyone for the food, beds, donations, and prayers. We accept them all with much gratitude.

HELP!!!

We are unexpectedly in need of some help tonight at Hope Haven. Our shelter is full, but we’re taking in two families that were sleeping outside on Lincoln Highway. There are 3 adults and 13 children. We could use extra food tonight and cereal and milk for the morning.

We’re also in need of blankets pillows, towels, and wash cloths. We’re out of beds and cots, but we’re making it as comfortable as possible on floor space.

Thank you community! We appreciate the help you give us and the additional help when we’re need it.

Every year the First Congregational UCC church has a plant sale for Mother's Day. This year was no different. One of the founders of the plant sale was Tom Harris. Unfortunately, Tom passed away in the spring. One of his passions in the community was Hope Haven. In honor and memory of Tom Harris, First Congregational UCC donated the proceeds from their plant sale to Hope Haven.

To everyone in our community who cares about the lives of the people we serve, just like Tom did, Thank You!
