Good morning all,

As you know our organization is a small organization that cares for individuals with Criminal Histories and is run by Earnell R. Brown III a directly impacted person.

Through it's existence the organization has had some challenges and has had numerous successes. We haven't done a great job of sharing things with you, the community.

We are in the throes of change and have to do things differently at this point in order to change the perception of what we do and why.

During the course of our work the Executive Director suffered a few family losses in the past two years as well as the struggle of operating a small organization sometime completely alone.

During this our Executive Director was also hit hard with personal medical issues and most recently the results of a lack of proper self care and mental health care.

We are looking in a new Direction and in doing so we are exploring options to hire someone to do the day to day operations so that our Executive Director can focus on self care and getting back to being the strong and effective leader we have come to know him to be. This is so that he can continue to ask the tough questions and ask the best of our community and assist us in creating a welcoming belonging community for everyone.

As we make these changes unfortunately we will be removing ourselves from Direct Client Services in some areas over the next 6 months and will be seeking a partner that we can get clients assistance through.

We will also be transitioning the nature of what we do to fundraising and advocacy in order to focus more toward our strengths. We will be focused on grassroots change through community organizing, direct action, advocacy, and legislative initiatives. This change will take time and as we transition we are asking for your continued support and assistance.

Thank you to all of our supporters donors and advocates for remaining with us through this trying time for us as an organization.
