If you haven't already heard, this year for Luke Day, we are focusing on Grace Rides in DeFuniak Springs. Grace Rides, owned by the legendary Steve and Sherry Hall, is an equine-assisted therapy center geared toward special needs. These needs can be physical, cognitive, and/or emotional. That's why the ages of service range from 4 years to over 80. Their Horses to Heroes program is designed exclusively for our military and law enforcement.

Join us Saturday, June 13 at 7:30 am for an early morning run or walk and meet some amazing folks serving our community.

Want to make a direct impact, providing healing benefits to special people? Come on up to see how at our Volunteer Training!

Lesson Volunteers work directly with our incredible riders and horses — assisting with grooming and sidewalking during lessons. No horse experience? No problem! Our team will teach you all you need to know. JOIN US FOR LESSON VOLUNTEER TRAINING ….

📅 WHEN: Tuesday, June 2, 9:00 to 10:45 am
📍 WHERE: GRACE Rides (2061 Corbin Gainey Road, Defuniak Springs FL - turn onto Billy Joe Godwin Road and head to the second gate on your left.)
🙌 WHO: Anyone ages 13 and older (text to 850-259-9195 to register)
⏱️ COMMITMENT: 1 hour up to 3 hours on Saturdays, June 6-27, or 3 hours during 1 day or more of either of our 2 week Summer Terms (Tuesday-Friday, June 9-19).

Want to make a direct impact and help provide healing benefits with special people? Join us tomorrow morning starting at 9, thru about 10:45) for our Lesson Volunteer Training!

Lesson Volunteers work directly with our incredible riders and horses — assisting with grooming, tacking, and sidewalking during lessons.

No horse experience? No problem! Our team will teach you everything you need to know.

📅 When: Saturday, May 30 | 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. OR Tuesday, June 2 from 9:00 a.m. 10:45 AM.

Whether you have horse experience or not… Whether you want to work directly with our participants, or get some hands-on time in the barn and with our herd… We have a spot for you on our team!

Work hours available for summer term will be in the mornings on any day or days you choose (by 8:30 until about noon).  You don’t need to be an expert on day one - our staff and instructors will walk you through everything, from sign-in to safety. Come on up and get yourself ready to be a part of our team. We feel certain you will be blessed by your time at the barn, as you are being a blessing to others!

GRACE Rides is seeking interested elderly groups for its Silver Manes senior program for Fall 2026. No riding, but plenty of hands-on opportunities with our equine partners. Contact GRACE Rides at 850-259-9195 for info. Senior horses + senior people = loads of fun and enrichment for all! ❤️🐴❤️
