Saturday, March 28th BSBA 1-day Beginner Class: We are cancelling the Saturday class, due to a very small amount of interest. Anyone wanting to attend the BSBA April, Monday, 6th meeting, 631 Perry Street, Defiance, OH 43512. We will have the beginner books for $30 and will offer the online beginner class if they would like. If anyone has questions, please give me a text/call (419.438.7335). Thank you.

The Black Swamp Beekeepers Association is hosting a Beginning Beekeeping Class on Saturday, March 28, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Defiance County Extension Office (6879 Evansport Rd., Defiance, OH).
This one-day class will cover the basics of getting started in beekeeping, including equipment, hive setup, pests and diseases, honey extraction, and seasonal hive care. The $75 registration fee includes the Bee-Sentials Field Guide and a 1-year OSBA membership. Registration deadline is March 15.
Scholarships are available. Email [email protected] to request a scholarship application.
Whether you're just curious about bees or ready to start your own hive, this is a great opportunity to learn from local beekeepers! 🐝🌼

A new Hands-on Lab this year!!! Ever wanted to learn the tricks of making a good quality bottle of Mead? What a great way to use up some of that extra honey sitting around.
