🥛 Behind every glass of milk is a farm family dedicated to caring for their animals and producing quality food for our communities.

📰 This week’s Farmland News Weekly Journal cover story highlights a local dairy family and the next generation growing up with a passion for agriculture.

🌅 From early mornings in the barn to caring for calves and learning the values of hard work and responsibility, dairy farming is often a family tradition passed from one generation to the next.

Welcome Olivia Joyner (far left) as our summer assistant. She just finished up two weeks of day camp at Penny Nature Center and is moving on to preparing for livestock skillathon and 4-H camp. She will be a junior at Wilmington College in Ag Education.

We will again be using the FairEntry online fair management system for the Defiance County Junior and Senior Fair. Exhibitors will be asked to submit Jr. Fair entries via computer or any mobile device. The online entry system will streamline the entry process so, check-ins, show bills and results can be processed and posted quickly and efficiently at the fair.

Online entries will be required for all exhibitors for both livestock and still projects. Instructions will be in the June newsletter arriving this week in the mail. May also view instructions here.

The deadline for online entries is July 3rd, 2026.
Entries due BEFORE your July 4th fun!

Use your 4-H online email/password.

Current 4-H and FFA members will enter the following:

Market Animal
Add-On Class for Livestock Sale
Non Market Animal
