It's June, which means that all month long, we’re going to be celebrating 15 years of God’s faithfulness! 🎉 Children's Lantern was created in 2011 and we're so thankful for the way God has blessed this ministry. As part of that celebration, we're hosting a FREE Scavenger Hunt with the partnership of local Defiance businesses. The hunt can be completed anytime during the month of June.

Here's how it works:
- Start your hunt anytime between June 1-30.
- Find 15 lanterns hidden across Defiance.
- Follow the instruction on each lantern.
- Once you've found the final lantern and followed the instructions, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a prize - each business location is donating a basket of goodies for each of the prizes. You can see a couple of the baskets here.
- The first clue and lantern will be located at the Children's Lantern office (930 S. Clinton St. Defiance, OH). Come inside to find the lantern. If we are not open at the time of your arrival, check our door for a QR code with the clue.

The Scavenger Hunt begins until TODAY, June 1st. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Aging out of the foster system can be a time of uncertainty for many foster youth. That’s why we have our Guiding Light Scholarship--a reminder that God’s provision and care doesn’t end when the system does. Did you know that we have a Guiding Light Lantern Scholarship to serve young men and women who have aged out of foster care? We are so blessed to have been able to help this young lady with a bill for college recently. Our scholarship ministry can be used towards things like rent, gas, college fees, job necessities, etc. Our Guiding Light Lantern Scholarship is one way we strive to reflect Christ’s love in action. Thank you First Baptist Church Defiance for having us on Sunday. We were blown away by the response to what we shared about our ministry. So many people sought out our table in the lobby to ask for our prayer magnets so they can pray for the families in our village and for our ministry. It blessed our hearts to hear of so many people who wanted to uplift Children's Lantern in prayer.

If your church is curious about our ministry, we would love to come and present what we're about. Our mission is to be a Village of Hope Beyond the System. It's because of the hope we have in Christ that we are compelled to share that hope with others.
