Is this the world you want to live in? California is among the worst with jobs getting harder and harder to find. Remember when your unemployment runs out and you are still not employed, you are not counted as being unemployed. So of course rates are going down as more and more people are forced to live this way. Do we live a a society that has no compassion for their own people? As the years go by for most of these people, the answer is yes. They have no one to turn to, there is not the help like everyone thinks. Without your help, the agencies can not keep up with the demand. Some say they should get a job, well here is something to think about. When banned from public places, no where to clean up, do you want that person making your meal at a place like McDonald s or even a fancy Steak House? Remember this phrase "We are all one paycheck away from being homeless" and you could be there also. You say I can not afford to help, that is not true. Compassion comes in many forms, a simple "hello" goes along ways. A smile on their face can make their whole day better.
