🌞 Volunteers Needed for Our Summer Food Service Program! 🌞

Do you have an hour to make a difference in a child's day?

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with our Summer Food Service Program, especially at our Wauseon location at Reighard Park.

📍 Reighard Park – Wauseon
🕚 Lunch Service: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
⏰ Volunteer Time: 10:45 AM – 11:45 AM

Volunteers help with setting up, serving meals, helping to carry plates, activities with the children at the site, and cleaning up after meal service. This is a great opportunity for students needing community service hours, retirees looking to give back, or anyone wanting to support children in our community.

Every volunteer helps us ensure that children have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months.

☀️ Today is the First Day of the Summer Food Service Program! ☀️

We are excited to kick off another summer of providing nutritious meals to children throughout our communities.

We are also still seeking volunteers at several of our meal sites. If you are in need of community service hours or would like to make a positive impact in your community, we'd love to hear from you!

A huge thank you to the General Motors UAW Women’s Committee for once again spending time with the children at our Defiance Head Start Center! Each year, they help make special memories for our kiddos by planning fun activities and providing snacks for every child.

This year, the children enjoyed musical chairs, a spring art craft, and a special treat to take home. We are so grateful for community partners like the GM UAW Women’s Committee who continue to support our children and families year after year.

NSCC Head Start had so much fun at our Family Fun Day last month! The day was filled with smiles, laughter, learning, and lots of furry friends at the petting zoo. The children loved meeting the animals while families had the opportunity to connect with our wonderful community partners and learn about resources available in our area.

We are so thankful for the amazing community partners who spent time with our families and helped make the day extra special. Events like these remind us how lucky we are to have such a caring and supportive community.
