Sad day in our bowling community.
Our hearts go out to the Durham family.

Our hearts go out to Joann, Clay, Yvonne and all those affected by the Passing of Don Durham - The community and our little bowling center has been forever touched by his love of competition and will to encourage everyone around him to do better... One of my favorite comments from Don "One of these days I'm going to beat you Don... to which he'd replied (with that little side grin of his) yeah, I might live long enough for that to happen" given that the end of his final league season our team took 2nd to his in a roll off by 3 pins as always he got the final laugh on that one. I'd say rest easy Don, but we all know he's already busy doing something.

For those interested in coaching....here is a great opportunity.

There are 379 USBC Level I coaches certified in Washington State to help our youth bowlers. The WSBPA, as part of its Youth Initiative, being introduced October 5th and 6th at its Annual Meeting, is committed to staging several coaching clinics statewide during the 2026-2027 season. AND. We are committed to assisting those Level I coaches interested in becoming a USBC BRONZE Level coach and WSBPA youth ambassador. How about it? Want to attend our meeting next week?

Today we presented Candace Van Tine and Gleason Garske with their Eagle trophies. These trophies are for winning their division at the Youth Open Championships. This tournament was ran during the time of Jr Gold in Minneapolis, MN.
Candace won the U16 girls division with a 713 scratch series. And also earned a spot on Team USA.
Gleason won the U12 boys division with a 765 scratch series. Along with a nice 300 game.
Congratulations to both of you. Way to represent Spokane.
We are proud of you.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we let our bowling family know of the unexpected sudden passing of Darryl Burns. His laughter will definitely be missed on the lanes.
