TB is not a fact of life: Break the chain of transmission

Ending TB is proven by science
Ending TB is a community right
Ending TB is within our reach

In high-income countries it is unacceptable for anyone to being infected with TB. Yet there is a sense of fatalism or inevitability about the spread of TB in low- and middle-income countries. Such inequity must not be tolerated – no one should consider sickness and death due to TB as “normal” – TB is not a fact of life.

💤 Today is World Sleep Day

Sleep is important to our health and wellbeing. Some people experience pauses in breathing during sleep, the most common sleep-related breathing disorder being obstructive sleep apnoea (OSAS).

In OSAS, the airway in the throat briefly closes, sometimes hundreds of times a night. 😴

ELF has a patient-friendly information hub on sleep disordered breathing, which covers:

🛌 Symptoms of OSAS that may differ between day and night
🛌 Causes and prevention
🛌 Advice for managing sleep disordered breathing
