Announcement: It is with both sadness and gratitude that we announce the Tom Parrish Memorial Softball Tournament has come to an end. Due to rising costs, difficulty in getting the necessary permits, and lack of team interest the 2025 Tournament was going to be the last. We had hoped to bring back the teams of yesteryear to give it the proper goodbye we felt it deserved. Unfortunately, due to a tragedy in the Parrish/Michaud Family, we will not be moving forward with this year’s Tournament and have made the difficult decision to call it.
On a personal note, being able to honor my brother for so many years and pay forward the kindness that has been shown to our family and to this community gave me purpose after an unimaginable loss. I am humbled and so very grateful to have had this opportunity to hear the stories, re-live the memories and honor his legacy in this way. It not only helped my heart heal but helped my family in our grieving. There are no words that I can share to truly acknowledge what that has meant.
On behalf of the Tom Parrish Memorial Athletic Scholarship Committee and the Parrish/Michaud Family, we would like to thank you for your support over the past 17 years. For the fun, the excitement, the memories and most of all the funds raised so that we could offer scholarships to many Valley Regional High School athletes that we sincerely hope made a difference in their lives as well. Thank YOU for all of it.
