Another busy weekend is in the books for our Royalty. Saturday night they participated in the Ossian Fest parade sharing delicious beef sticks.

Then on Sunday, they served their donated steak dinner meals. Each year the fair board asks area royalty to provide a meal that is auctioned off during fair week with the proceeds going to fair improvements. This year our Royalty and Cattlemen provided 2 meals. Sunday night our royalty families along with James and Jeramiah on the grill served both meals to two amazing groups.

Queen Brinley Linderbaum and Little Miss Cowgirl Andrea Schmitt's Ribeye Steak meal was purchased by Mark Steffens. Mark in return donated his meal to the Winneshiek County 4-H project superintendents . Thank you Mark for your support and giving back to the fair and 4-H volunteers.

Princess Jaden Timp, Little Cowgirl Dacia Tieskotter and Little Mr. Cowhand Alec Kuboshek's New York Strip meal was purchased by Jan Schnitzler who treated her family to a great meal. Thank you Jan for your donation and trusting us with your meal.

And that is a wrap! Our Royalty and Youth Beef Team had a busy week at the Winneshiek County Fair. They gave out halters to first time showmen, worked in the cattlemen's restaurant, handed out ribbons at both the Northland Classic and the 4H- FFA Beef show. They showed their beef projects and the Royalty wrapped up the week by meeting Saturday nights performers.

Thank you to everyone who brought their kids to the First Cow Crafts with the Cattlemen Royalty yesterday. The kids made cow keychains/necklaces. They also made their own mini oat fields in a sandwich bag they can place in the sun to grow oats for their cow and calf. It was a fun time!!
Today our Youth Beef Team kids and our Royalty are showing and working the 4-H and FFA beef show handing out ribbons.
