An important win for Iowa's energy infrastructure! Congratulations, Great Plains Institute and NextGen Highways, on this culmination of years of advocacy.

Governor Kim Reynolds signed legislation authorizing electric transmission lines on highway rights-of-way. The legislation is intended to protect private property from overuse of eminent domain and promote reliable, affordable electricity.
