🎉 Let's Light Up the Sky for Deckerville Homecoming! 🎉

Deckerville Community Development Corporation (DCDC) is working hard to bring you an amazing fireworks show at Deckerville Homecoming on Saturday, July 25th, at dusk!

We're currently at $3100 raised, and for several years it has been a $10,000 show. Our minimum goal is $10,000, but to create a really unforgettable display, we're hoping to surpass that!

Every dollar counts! Please consider donating to the fireworks fund and help us bring the magic of Deckerville Homecoming to life.

The Village flower pots and hanging baskets have been planted! Looking forward to another year of beautiful flowers in our Village!

Many thanks to DTE for the funds to purchase 14 new pots. Many thanks to those that have donated money, and also to Marcy Chernow for the donation of soil. And to our small crew that got everything planted!

Still accepting donations to help create ver the cost of the flowers. Donations can be dropped off at Eastern Michigan Bank or Bloomin’ Crazy Flowers.

It’s getting close to flower time!!

Flowers were ordered in November for planting in hanging baskets and pots to place around the village. Last year we received so many compliments on how beautiful our village looked! Definitely something to take pride in.

But…we cannot do it without everyone’s help. I just received the invoice for the plants alone, $1,185. Soil has been donated by Marcy Chernow who owns Made Your Way LLC to fill the 14 new pots that we have purchased. These will replace pots that are old and breaking apart. Still need to purchase fertilizer.

Plants will be picked up on May 18th and we will be planting that evening starting at 6:00. Extra hands are always appreciated with this task. We will be planting at the DPW buildings on the west end of town.

We are also still searching for persons interested in helping to water. We water 6 days a week and it takes about 45 minutes. Mornings are always preferred for watering.

Donations towards flowers and supplies can be dropped off at Bloomin’ Crazy Flowers or Eastern Michigan Bank. Messages for watering can be left here or at Bloomin’ Crazy 810-376-4600.

Tomorrow, January 15, 2026 is the Annual Meeting for the DCDC. Board members will be elected , officers elected, committee members appointed, and a 2026 budget will be passed. 6:00 pm at the Deckerville Ministries Building on Main St.

Anyone can be a member ($50 annual dues payable prior to the start of the meeting), and you do not have to be a member to attend our meetings. You must be a member to vote.
