We had a wonderful time at the Coach Napoleon B. Cobb Track Naming Ceremony. It is the first time in the GA sports history that a Track Coach got a marker with his name on at the track he coached on. Thank you SWDPAC.

Track History was made at the Coach Napoleon B. Cobb Track Naming Ceremony yesterday. Coach Napoleon B. Cobb became the first Track Coach in the state of GA to have a marker placed at the Track. He now has a stadium, Championship meet and his legendary school Track named after him. This maybe historical for the USA. He coached numerous state, county and region championship teams there. And the Olympians Terrence Trammell and Angelo Taylor at SWD. He also taught many athletes how to be better people in the sport of Track and Field. Peace to all.

Coach Napoleon B. Cobb truly devoted his life to coaching Track and helping athletes be the best people they could be throught he sport. Tomorrow is his Track Naming Ceremony. GOD is good. A life well lived and honored.

Coach Napoleon B. Cobb's first State Championship team at SWD. The historical 1990 SWD State Track Championship Team. This Legacy started by them lasting for years. It was the foundation for Olympians Angelo Taylor, Terrence Trammell and All Americans to follow. The 1990 Team had NFL play Hassan Graham own it. They did the three repeat. Where they won County, Region and State that year. What a marvelous start of the Coach Cobb SWD Track Legacy.

One and half weeks till Coach Napoleon B. Cobb Track Naming Ceremony and reunion for his Track Alumni. He was at GHS from 1973-1978. At GHS he had to coach on a dirt Track. He was such a great Track Coach he was able to win three state championsips while coaching his teams from a dirt Track. From there he went to Morehouse College as Head Track Coach and then SWD. Where he retired from in his legendary career. He left Berkley High School and to GA to coach at GHS. His mentor the late Cecil Jones called him in California and asked him to come to GHS as Head Track Coach. The rest was Track History for GA. Coach Cobb won numerous County, Region and State Championships. And SIAC Champions on the college level. He also had Olymppians and All Americans.
