Our Venturing Crew will be camping in May!

It's an adventure to the Pointes West Army Resort where our scouts will take on the Odyssey II confidence course, a 2-3 hour high-ropes challenge that promotes tackling challenges, working in teams and having a great time ourdoors.

We will be camping onsite at the Pointes West Army Resort.

Dec 7 and Dec 9: Learn About Venturing!

With the start of the new year, our local Venturing Crew is planning an adventurous Spring, including camping, white water rafting, climbing, shooting skills, and more!

Venturing is a part of Scouting, but it’s co-ed, ages 14 and up, and very focused on fun outdoor activities.

On Dec 7 from 4-5 pm or Dec 9 at 7:45 pm, interested youth and parents can come out to Scout Hall at Oak Grove UMC and learn more about the program.

From Noon - 2 pm at Scout Hall at Oak Grove UMC, we'll be making sandwiches for those in need in our community.

This is a great opportunity to bring prospective Crew members to get to know what the Crew is all about.

Venturing Crew 77 kicks off the year with our annual XTreme Bowling outing!

Venturing Crew 77 at Oak Grove Scouting is part of Scouting. We’re a co-ed Crew of youth ages 14 -21. If you’d like to learn more about us, DM me and we can talk about getting your sons and daughters involved.

If your kids love doing outdoor activities, then Venturing is a great place! We camp several times a year, plus we do lots of shorter day activities, such as hiking, canoeing, climbing, and shooting.

The activities are planning by the youth, with some direction and
support from the adult Advisors.

Our next Venturing Crew 77 outing is … Extreme Bowling!
Join us at Comet Lanes in Decatur on Sunday Jan 5 at 2 pm.
This is also a great opportunity for new potential members to be introduced to the Crew, so please take a few minutes to share this with youth and parents who'd be interested.

Cost: Free for Crew members. Small cost to join us if you’re not already registered.
