Have you seen our new sign? After a long process of documentation and preparation, our application to have the Decatur Cemetery receive a local historic designation was accepted by the Historic Preservation Commission.
Now is where you can play a role. Before any chance of approval, our application needs public support. It is scheduled to be on the agenda at the Aug 18 Historic Preservation Commission meeting and then at the Sep 8 City Commission meeting. The final decision is by the City Commission and that vote should be at their meeting on Sep 28.
