DeKalb County Warming Centers to Open on Thursday, January 15, Saturday, January 17, through Monday, January 19

DECATUR, Ga. – Due to forecasted freezing temperatures and hazardous wind chills, DeKalb County will activate warming centers beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, Saturday, January 17, continuing through Monday, January 19, 2026:

Note: The following will be overnight locations on January 15th and January 17th. Additionally, January 17th through 19th:

Exchange Park Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Dr., Decatur
Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta
St. Vincent de Paul, 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Rd, Chamblee
Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340 McConnell Dr, Decatur (Thursday, January 15th Only)

*Mason Mill will be closed Sat Jan 17th, 18th and Monday the 19th

The following locations will be open on January 17th, 18th, and 19th (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) for the 24-hour activation:

Thank you 🙏🏾 everyone for coming out yesterday to the Annual Women's Tea!

Yesterday we celebrated our tenth (10) year anniversary of the very first Women's tea held at Connect Church!!

Our Wonderful coordinators Holman Johnson Judy Guice Briggs Sandra Smith and helpers have teamed up since 2015 to present a fabulous, well decorated and detailed High Tea occasion.

Ms. Holman Johnson provided us with a historical breakdown on why we host a tea. You must attend the next one to get the full experience!

Ms. Sandra Smith coordinated the Bingo game

Ms. Judy Guice gave an inspirational sermonette: " Here's the Tea: Availability/ Accountability/ Humility" encouraging us all to be available to God in service and diligence, be accountable since our actions influence and affect others and exercise humility as Jesus did by serving others in love. " It was a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing 😌 day of fellowship!

We ended by singing Christmas Carols together 🎶🎵.

Thank you 🙏🏾 for hosting this grand occasion and ensuring everyone received a Christmas gift!

Twice per month.

What are the requirements to pick up food from a CFC?
There are no requirements to pick up food. Upon intake, you will be asked a series of questions to determine your eligibility for food assistance programs.

I am not near a CFC. How can I find a food pantry near me?
No problem! Please visit our Food Map page OR text ‘FINDFOOD’ (COMIDA for Spanish) to 888-976-2232 to find a food pantry near you.

How can I speak to someone about SNAP (food stamps)?
Please visit our Benefits Outreach page to connect with someone who can assist you with the SNAP application process.
