Celebrating 14 Years of Service, Legacy, Leadership, and Sisterhood!
The NHBW Atlanta Metro Chapter celebrated its 2026 Founders Day with the theme, “Rooted in Legacy; Advancing the Next Generation.”
We extend a heartfelt appreciation to our dynamic keynote speaker Dior Davis, Founder and CEO of Truth Honey, as chapter members, associates, friends, and family came together for an inspiring event that honored the legacy of the National Hook-Up of Black Women and reaffirmed our commitment to the mission that continues to guide our organization. We also celebrated our Sisters Lenna Davis and Mary “Momma D” Dawson for their exceptional leadership and enduring commitment to NHBW.
Thank you to our sponsors, vendors, and supporters for helping make this celebration memorable!

A Great Day of Community Outreach!

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the NHBW Atlanta Metro Chapter had a wonderful time at Nicholas House in Atlanta for “Food for the Soul: A Family Afternoon of Learning, Care & Community.”

Ten (10) of our members came together to make the afternoon special for families. We read and engaged in fun activities with the children, worked with parents to create vision boards, served a delicious soul food dinner, and distributed care-filled purses for the parents and bags of goodies for the children. It was an uplifting afternoon of fellowship, laughter, learning, and service.

We are grateful to Nicholas House for the opportunity to connect with and support families in our community. Special KUDOS to our Community Outreach Committee for creating the vision and mobilizing our Chapter to make this meaningful day possible.

Final August 2026 Summer Reading
NHBW Summer Reading Continues!
The NHBW Atlanta Metro Chapter’s Summer Reading activities for the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club continued in August with a fun and engaging reading of Dinosaur! at Supreme ABC’s Learning Academy.
Our young readers, ages five and under, had a wonderful time listening to the story and sharing in the excitement. Each child also received a copy of the book to take home and continue their reading journey.
A special thank you to Supreme ABC’s Learning Academy for the warm welcome and for helping us encourage a love of reading among our youngest learners.
