Project Getting Connected II

Project Getting Connected II Getting individuls to care about themselves and their level of risk prepares them for positive behavior change.

This Project, is needed and the targeted population is identified because of it's continued growth of incidence and prevalence of new HIV cases, STD infections, drug & alcohol use, abuse and addiction resulting in decrease of the quality of life. High risk behaviors and their consequences support the need for an innovative and new approach to reaching the population of men who have s*x with men in Metro-Atlanta.

Founded in May of 1999, the Black AIDS Institute is the only national HIV/AIDS think tank focused exclusively on Black people. The Institute's Mission is to stop the AIDS pandemic in Black communities by engaging and mobilizing Black institutions and individuals in efforts to confront HIV.
