The Scientista Foundation is a national organization dedicated to bridging the gaps between established professionals and young women interested in pursuing careers in the sciences. It was founded in Spring 2011 by Julia and Christina Tartaglia at Harvard University. Since then, they have been working to expand the foundation to multiple universities. Scientista aims to empower pre-professional

women to pursue careers in the sciences, technology and engineering. Scientista does so by increasing the visibility of female role models through an online platform, creating and strengthening communities for women across campuses, and providing opportunities and resources.
